Marion Bartoli (born October 2, 1984) is a French professional tennis player and the current French No. 1. She has won six Women's Tennis Association singles titles and three doubles titles. She was also a runner-up at the 2007 Wimbledon Championships.
Bartoli has defeated two reigning World No.1 players in her career so far. She defeated Justine Henin in the semi-final of the 2007 Wimbledon Championships 1–6, 7–5, 6–1 and she defeated Jelena Janković in the fourth round of the 2009 Australian Open 6–1, 6–4. She has also recorded wins over former World No. 1 Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Ana Ivanović, Lindsay Davenport, Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, Jelena Jankovic, Dinara Safina, Caroline Wozniacki and Kim Clijsters as well as many top 5 and top 10 players.

Bartoli was born in Le Puy-en-Velay, Haute-Loire, France. She is of Corsican, Catalan and metropolitan French descent She started playing tennis at the age of six. Bartoli trained in a small facility as a youngster where there was not much room behind the baseline. Her father, Walter, gave up his career as a doctor to become her full time coach when Bartoli won the 2001 Junior US Open title, defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova 4–6, 6–3, 6–4.
She is an animal lover and has a cat named Calinette. Bartoli has a brother who is in the French military. Her role model off the court is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. She is also an admirer of Roger Federer. Her mother, Sophie, is a nurse and is rarely seen in the crowd as she gets so nervous watching her daughter play. On the 20th of August, Daria, representing Russia won the singles gold medal in the inaugural Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore. Daria, unseeded in the event went from a set down to defeat Chinese Zheng Saisai in the final 2–6, 6–2, 6–0
In the US Open, Daria reached the final of the girls' singles event after beating Lauren Davis from the United States, Caroline Price also from the United States, Tang Haochen from China and two more Americans Robin Anderson and Sloane Stephens. She then won the title by defeating her compatriot Yulia Putintseva in the final with a score of 6–3 and 6–2.Daria partnered Irina Khromacheva in the US Open girls' doubles event. In the semi-final they lost to the eventual winner Tímea Babos and Sloane Stephens.
Gavrilova played her first WTA main draw match as a wildcard in her home town of Moscow, where she faced Ukrainian Alona Bondarenko. Gavrilova played well but lost 5–7, 1–6.

Since 2011, Valdés is the new soccer player sponsored by the brazilian sports company Penalty.

He also has won the Zamora Trophy a record four times. He started his career with FC Barcelona's youth team when he joined from Peña Cinco Copas on 1 July 1992. But in September, he moved with his family to Tenerife and had to leave the club, rejoining only three years later. After returning, he made quick progress through the youth teams.
The early part of the 2002–03 season saw him play deputy to Argentine international Roberto Bonano. The arrival of Radomir Antić as the new manager saw regular first team opportunities for him.
In the 2003–04 season, he emerged as first-choice goalkeeper, and in the 2004–05 season, he played in almost all of Barcelona's matches helping Barcelona to their first league title in six years. He also won the Zamora Trophy for the best goalkeeper in Spain.

Gnégnéri Yaya Touré (born 13 May 1983 commonly known as Yaya Touré, is an Ivorian footballer who currently plays as a box-to-box midfielder for Premier League club Manchester City and the Côte d'Ivoire national side. He plays with the name Touré Yaya on his jersey.
He is renowned for combining speed and physical power with technique and has 55 caps for Côte d'Ivoire, representing the team in their first appearance in a FIFA World Cup, in the 2006 competition as well as in 2010. He is the younger brother of his Côte d'Ivoire and Manchester City teammate Kolo Touré. He also has a younger brother named Ibrahim who currently plays for Egyptian side Makasa.

Touré joined ASEC Mimosas youth academy in 1996 on the recommendation of his long-time mentor Patrick van Reijendam. He then moved to Europe where he played for Belgian side Beveren for two-and-a-half years and later for one and a half years at Ukrainian side Metalurh Donetsk.
Touré then moved to Olympiacos in 2005. He was nicknamed "the new Patrick Vieira" by his older brother. Before joining Olympiacos, Touré had a trial with Arsenal, starting in a match against Barnet,but subsequently manager Arsène Wenger failed to sign him because he could not secure a work permit
After representing Côte d'Ivoire in the 2006 World Cup, Touré was signed by French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in August 2006. He played at the Stade Louis II for one season before leaving for FC Barcelona.
